Q&A and workout with Steph - Melton

Lots of people asked me to put together a group where I do a talk/seminar followed by a workout. So… I made it happen!

I ran 6 sessions from Melton in 2019 and they were fantastic! I had booked a group to run in Tasmania and Newcastle before I ended up having to put my plans on hold when the Pandemic hit but I am planning on running some more before the end of the year.

MFLFs Stephanie and My Fitness trainer Yannick are a great duo, Stephanie was honest about her wight-loss journey, Yannick’s exercises were achievable and the small group size was great. Everyone was very encouraging. I would definitely attend future sessions with Stephanie and the take-home goody bag was a fun little bonus. Well-done to all the participants and speakers.
Everything you say is interesting. I could listen to you all day. You covered everything so well. I especially liked when you spoke about motivation and how it never lasts, you keep going because of habit.

What’s to expect…

  • Steph will talk about her journey for around thirty minutes before giving you the chance to ask her any questions you’d like. Yannick from MyFit personal training will also be speaking about health and fitness - he’s also happy to answer any questions that you may have.

  • Yannick will deliver a 45-minute workout that will be tailored to your fitness levels and abilities. The workout is optional but be assured that it is suited for beginners to advanced.

  • A healthy afternoon tea will be provided after our workout. During this time you’ll have a chance to cool down and chat.

  • You’ll go home with a goodie bag full of surprises.

Cost

$40 for Genesis Members and $45 for non-members. The extra $5 is for insurance purposes.

What to bring (and wear!)…

  • Make sure you’re wearing workout gear. Something you’re able to move around in freely and something you’re comfortable in.

  • A gym/sweat towel (a hand towel or small towel will do)

  • A drink bottle (cold water is available on premises)

  • A change of clothes, a towel and toiletries if you’d like to have a shower afterward (there are hairdryers and hair straighteners for use if needed).

  • A smile :)


I know as well as anyone how this sort of situation can bring on the nerves. Working out with people you don’t know, venturing into a gym, group exercise - it can be a recipe for disaster! But let me assure you that we are going to have an amazing time. The numbers of the group are capped, the gym is quiet that time of day and we will be in the group fitness room which we have to ourselves. Yannick will be in touch with you on an individual basis to go through a health and lifestyle questionnaire prior to the day to find out exactly where you’re at.
